Central Passage
Isaiah 5:1-7
LWML Sunday

The prophet Isaiah shares a love song about our relationship with God:

“I will sing for the one I love a song about his vineyard: My loved one had a vineyard on a fertile hillside. He built a hedge around it, removed its stones, and planted choice species of vines. He built a tower in the middle of it, and constructed a winepress. He waited for it to produce good grapes, but it produced sour (i.e. stinky) ones instead."

The Hebrew word for "sour" can also be translated "stinky." In this message the fruit of having a positive attitude, like that which is described in Philippians 4, is talked about and life insights are applied. It's a message of encouragement to avoid "stinking" thinking and a sour grapes attitude that we can have in life!
